A new start...
At the end of 2013 we decided to give up our jobs, apartment, furniture, pretty much everything we had owned and go traveling. We had no plan, no set goals nor any great ambitions, just a desire to hit the road and see where our path led.
The birth of our daughter 6 months earlier had started this in motion. We wanted to enjoy these early years with her and to be free to choose.
To choose the where, the why, the how, the who and the what. Freedom of choice as each day comes.
A return to the past
This continued when we first met and married as we often house sat for neighbors and friends. All very casual and on an ad-hoc basis, with little idea of what it could become...
Getting on the road
Our first house sit as full timers was in October 2013. Our task seemed simple enough, a small apartment with a single Maine Coon cat, in a small village in Haute Savoie. This region is Alpine and nestles between Switzerland, Italy and the rest of France. Mont Blanc, Europe's highest peak can be found here, surrounded by the most magnificent scenery...

Really love cheese!
This is a good thing as cheese comes melted and poured over everything here. From bubbling pots of fondue to raclette and tartiflette, nothing is spared from a cheesy covering.
Often served with potato, cured hams and salad, there is no escape. Imagine being buried in snow, high on a mountain side and trying to keep warm. Is there anything else you could eat that would be better?
